Offshore Press, Inc. is a small financial publishing company with an emphasis on international asset protection, international investing, international business and related tax issues. However, we also publish information about U.S./Domestic asset protection and taxation. Most of the books and reports are either written by Vernon K. Jacobs or are co-authored by Jacobs with Richard Duke and other authors.

Jacobs is a CPA with a professional focus on international tax law. 

We are not a printing company. Most of our publications are available in digital form and in printed form.  The larger books and reports that are available in printed form are sub-contracted to printing firms. The smaller ones are printed on demand with a laser printer.

Prior to May, 2000, the name of the company was Research Press, inc. and the web site address was www.rpifs.com. (That link still connects to our web site.) That was an abbreviation for Research Press Inc. Financial Solutions. The domain address of www.researchpress.com had already been taken by a company affilliated with the University of Illinois when we first became involved with the Internet in 1994. So we came up with the rpifs.com domain name. In 1996 we began to focus on international tax and asset protection subjects in response to consumer demand for information on these subjects.

In early 2000, we were publishing three email newsletters about offshore topics.


People were having difficulty understanding the rpifs.com domain name when we gave it to them over the phone and it had no connection to what we were publishing. So we searched for a domain name relating to our extensive involvement in international/offshore subjects and found that www.offshorepress.com was available. We reserved that domain name and then changed the name of the company to Offshore Press, Inc. in May, 2000.

We currently publish a free email newsletter called the Jacobs Report and a subscription newsletter called the International Wealth Protection Monitor. We have a large digital library that is available to paid subscribers. A variety of books or reports are available in printed form as well as in the form of e-books.  All of our e-books are available for downloading by our paid subscribers.
